The John Alexander Project

about

The John Alexander Project is dedicated to innovative journalism. We believe that curiosity is the beginning of progress; that education happens outside the classroom; and that media can transform our social landscape. The Project enables independent thinkers to tell stories that inspire action.

Conceived in 2008, the keynote program—the Above The Fray fellowship, in conjunction with NPR—launched in April 2010 and submissions were completed on July 1. Our inaugural fellow was dispatched in October 2010.

The fellowship is supported entirely through
the John Alexander Project. Your contributions directly help give young journalists a leg up—and will ensure that we are able to continue offering the fellowship for future cycles.
