Katerina Barton was born in post-communist Czechoslovakia and grew up in Texas — part of a family of journalists. She fell in love with audio while at J-school at NYU and has reported and produced for StoryCorps, On the Media and The Takeaway. She pitched us on a story about climate change in Indonesia, fourth-most-populated country in the world and home to some of the Earth’s most biodiverse ecosystems.
